The CNC Machining Process

CNC precision machining Services typically involves a few different processes. Each one is slightly different, and may be required depending on the specifications of a particular part or component.

CNC Grinding

Similar to traditional grinding. However, instead of the workpiece being ground manually, a computerized grinding wheel is used to remove material. This may be used to reshape the workpiece, or simply to polish and deburr the workpiece, and remove imperfections.

CNC Milling

CNC milling uses a 3 or 4-axis CNC milling machine. The metal or plastic workpiece is held in place in the center of this machine. Then, one or more rotary cutters are used to remove material from the workpiece and create the desired shape.

Wire EDM Machining

It uses a specialized electrode that delivers ultra-high precision cutting. It uses an electrical current to remove material from the workpiece. The wire electrode never actually touches the workpiece and causes little thermal damage or warping.
